PROFILE
Dr. Matthias Borchert holds a PhD in physics and specializes in medical technology, semiconductors, access control systems, and quantum technologies.
A core focus of his practice is the drafting of patent applications and the strategic development of patent portfolios. Furthermore, he regularly represents clients in complex opposition proceedings. In cooperation with specialized attorneys-at-law, he advises and represents clients in patent infringement and nullity proceedings.
Prior to his career in intellectual property, he conducted research at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), where he performed high-precision measurements on antimatter. Through this work, he acquired in-depth expertise in measurement technology, sensor technology, and high-vacuum technology, among other fields. During his doctoral studies, he published various scientific articles.
