PROFILE
Wolfgang Fischer is a patent engineer, physicist and trainee for German and European patent attorney. After completing an apprenticeship as an industrial mechanic, he studied Physics at the University of Stuttgart and earned both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree. In his Bachelor thesis, he conducted research on diamond defects for quantum applications; in his Master thesis, he worked on semiconductor quantum dots, thus strengthening his expertise in semiconductor technology and bridging quantum physical fundamentals with application oriented semiconductor physics.
This gives him an interdisciplinary background covering mechanics, semiconductor technology, optics and quantum optics. As a patent attorney trainee, Mr. Fischer applies this broad technical understanding in particular to the fields of semiconductor and quantum devices, optical and quantum optical systems, micro and nanoelectronics, as well as mechatronic components.
